The Govie Alumni Group is for all St Peter Govenaires Alumni whether you marched 1 season or 10 seasons. We organize social events and fundraisers to support the work of the Alumni Group and the marching members of the Govenaires Drum and Bugle Corps.

Mission and Goals

Our goals are to provide opportunities for alumni of the Govenaires to connect and socialize, and to support the marching members of the Govenaires Drum and Bugle Corps.

Socials

The Govie Alumni Group regularly hosts social events both in person and online to encourage alumni connections! Some of our past regular events include a "Meet-Your-Alumni Bowling Party" where we provided dinner and bowling for current corps members, happy hour gatherings at bars in St. Peter, Mankato, and the Twin Cities area, Zoom socials throughout the pandemic, and many more. Currently, we are also trying to collect alumni stories about their time in the corps as well as archive photos and other corps memorabilia. Supporting the Govenaires Drum and Bugle Corps

The Alumni Group supports the marching members of the Govenaires through providing scholarships each year to a marching member, and through encouraging other donations to the Govenaires. For several years we ran a fundraiser selling sweet corn in Minnesota Square Park on the 4th of July, and in 2020 we replaced that fundraiser with a volleyball tournament. See the volleyball tournament page for more information! Money raised from these fundraisers goes toward scholarships and other support for the corps and alumni group.
