Josh “Rollo” Forbord

Music Background

Originally from Coon Rapids, MN, Josh moved to Mankato to earn a B.A. in Music from Minnesota State University, Mankato. He marched with Minnesota Brass Inc and the Madison Scouts before joining the Govenaires in 2007. He began serving as a brass consultant in 2014, eventually moving to serve as brass caption head in 2023.

In addition to teaching with the Govenaires and the Mankato Area 77 Lancers, he has performed with numerous ensembles in Southern Minnesota and currently plays with the Twin Cities Brass Band.
